Montreal

The Children’s Literature Roundtable of Montreal has been active for over twenty years. We have attracted members who are teachers, librarians, publishers, authors, booksellers, parents and grandparents. We meet monthly from October until June at different venues throughout Montreal including bookstores, libraries, and schools. Over the years we have been fortunate to host many author visits: William Bell, Sarah Ellis, Marie-Louise Gay, Linda Granfield, Polly Horvath, Kevin Major, Kenneth Oppel, Kit Pearson, Barbara Reid,
Jon Scieszka and Tim Wynne-Jones. The list goes on and on.

We have also had some spirited discussions on “Food in Literature,” Fractured Fairy-Tales,” and “Books to celebrate Black History Month”. Another popular feature has been our evenings of storytelling.

We are still going strong and hope to continue for another twenty years (at least)! Membership is $15.00 per year and newsletters are sent out three times a year. For more information please contact: Anne Peters at atpeters@videotron.ca
