Secret Project to Celebrate J $altman’s Career
J $altman will soon be retiring. If you have benefitted personally from or been influenced professionally by her multi-faceted career as Chair of the UBC Master of Arts in Children’s Literature program; Professor at the [email protected] (School of Library, Archival, and Information Studies); scholar of Canadian children’s literature; and advocate of children’s literature, Canadian and other, then we hope you will be interested in contributing to a published acknowledgement of her accomplishments.
We are creating a commemorative, self-published book with a limited print run to celebrate the breadth and depth of J’s impact on the field of children’s literature, especially Canadian children’s literature. Our working title is Picturing JS [but in full*]. You can be a crucial part of the creation of this book: we are inviting you to contribute to its contents by submitting a personal statement based upon your association with J $altman.
Thank you for helping to celebrate JS’s impressive professional accomplishments.
And don’t forget.
This is a secret! Don’t breathe a word to JS.
We want to see the surprise on her face Friday March 4, 2016 at the special event we are holding for her.
Join our mailing list if you’d like to receive a reminder to register.
*We’ve had to use JS and spell her last name with a $ to avoid the likelihood of her finding her name on one of these pages in a Google search.
