Where the Wild Things Are, adapted for the stage by Kim Selody, starts tonight.
Just a reminder to all you Maurice Sendak enthusiasts–especially those of you who heard Leonard Marcus last month at UBC. The renowned children’s literature critic and historian treated us to a lecture, “‘Let the Wild Rumpus Start’: Maurice Sendak as Storyteller and Psychologist.”
Kim Selody has written and directed many plays for young audiences for companies like Axis Theatre, Green Thumb Theatre, Manitoba Theatre for Young People, Prairie Theatre Exchange, Carousel Theatre and Dynamo Theatre in Montreal. (Some of you may have seen his adaptation of Lord of the Rings at Cap U a couple of years ago.)
